Majority Visibility Project - Seattle

We are grassroots activists on a mission.

Our experience, despite the media, is that most Americans support progressive ideas and values when we actually talk to each other.

But that's the problem. The corporate media have had amazing success hiding us from public view and from ourselves.

At the MVP we use "unconventional tools and tactics" to bypass the corporate media. We do our "visibility work" with street theatre actions and freeway banners and with our car-top signs and other props. These actions help us all to "see" each other. And there are millions of us out here. But we need to get visible.

Our job is to get the message out, straight out, to our neighbors—in our own neighborhoods, where it really counts!

"This is no part-time, do-gooder hobby. We are in a fight for our lives here. It really is that simple."  — Mike Yossarian, Seattle 2003

It was the Bush administration that got us together.

With this bunch running amok, inaction is simply not an option. These guys have a vicious and malignant world view and there is clearly no choice: Our work is immediate self defense.

There is no better gift to our families, our friends, and to our country than to work for an end to these wars, for the restoration of our withered civil rights, for environmental protection of our planet, and against the domination of corporations over our lives. We are the majority! Let's get visible!
